Whoops, we prepared but forgot to grill:

And whoops, no more bottles by the lake. $150 tickets for two boys, and a warning to stay away from stray dogs for Ruth.

wow, you really got fined?? that sucks!!! BTW, I pulled the sweet potato salad recipe from tribune website. Can't wait to try it out!!
two tickets? that sucks! open bottles? glass bottles? public drinking?
Getting ticketed is lame... can you fight it? Say you never really grilled, just had it out, and those weren't really open bottles? :).
You forgot VEGGIE BRATS and VEGGIE BURGERS. But thanks again for dealing with our needs.
Sure beans, Manny. No ticket for grilling (that's allowed) it was the open glass container. But the cop told Rob (since he lives out of state) to "just tear up the ticket, we're just doing our job." And told Manny, "Call that number and contest it, they should either dismiss it or reduce the fine."
By that point, we were the only folks left on the park really. And being rather tame. :) Only three people had a drink out, and that was probably only their second. Anyway, still a good time and lesson learned!
I knew those rob and manny folks were trouble makers LOL
