How about Sapphire? I didn't name my black cat until a couple weeks after I got him. I wanted to pick a name that matched his personality. Finally I picked Chocolat. His hair is brownish-black and he's very sweet. I still like the name very much.
How about, "smartass"? :)
I think I like Eva's suggestion more...Sapphire will go on the potentials list. I'm also considering Maya or Maia and Gaia.
