Cardoons, goat cheese, salt and turnips
I am proud to announce that the February edition of UrbanEpicurean was issued right on time! I had a lot of fun this month, got a chance to connect with the owner Capriole Goat Cheese, an artisinal cheesemaker who's appeared in all the big foodie rags; studied food as depicted in art, from the ascetic tables of Cotan to the scrumptious feasts of the Dutch; learned all sorts of new stuff about salt (who knew Kosher salt wasn't Kosher!); and paid homage to my favorite veg-o-February, the modest, unassuming turnip. It's been a ton of work, but a whole lot of fun! :) Please check it out if you get a chance, and let me know what you think!
