Here we go...I needed to know why the final number was always going to be a multiple of 9. From one of my best friends from high school who was always a math genius:
MirclMax: Your original choice (the 2 digit number) can be expressed as 10x+y
MirclMax: so for 23 x = 2 y =3
MirclMax: they ask you to take 10x+y and subtract (x+y)

Your final number will always be the multiple of 9. As long as there is only one pattern for 9, 18, 27... etc. The crystal ball knows what to display.

MirclMax: QED
right...so:
(10x+y) - (x+y)
= 10x + y - x - y
= 10x - x
= 9x
LOVE IT.
Yep! Eva is super smart!!!
